The best moment to protect paint is before it has a history — before the first motorway chip and the first hurried wash. JustCars plans protection for new cars at Almancil and Loulé: STEK paint protection film where the stones hit (partial front from €1,500, full body from €6,000), a ceramic coating for gloss and easy washing (packages €1,000–€2,000), and headlight film (€125, or €250 the pair).
The first defects on a new car arrive fast. Chips come with the first motorway kilometres; swirls come with the first brush tunnel or a rushed sponge wash. Film and coating fitted onto clean, unmarked paint keep the factory finish as it is — fitted later, protection starts by fixing something first.
Factory paint can be filmed straight away. The three-week wait only applies to panels that have been freshly repainted, where film would otherwise trap the solvents and lift.

Front film plus ceramic: PPF on the bumper, bonnet, wings and mirrors where chips land (from €1,500), and a ceramic coating on the rest of the car for gloss and easy washing. A balanced starting point for a car that is driven a lot.
Full-body film (from €6,000): every painted panel under STEK, for a car that will be kept for years or used hard. Ceramic only (€1,000–€2,000): gloss, UV resistance and easier washing, but no chip protection — the €2,000 package extends the coating to glass and wheels. Headlight film is a small addition worth considering on any of them.
Not always — and we won't polish paint that doesn't need it. New does not automatically mean flawless, though: transport, storage and pre-delivery washing can leave light marks. We look at the car under studio light and measure the paint first; if it is clean, it goes straight to film and coating. If it isn't, a light polish comes first, because film and ceramic seal whatever is underneath.
STEK film carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty on the material plus 1 year on our installation, supported by a care wash every three months — the 3-hour detailed wash, €150, or €75 for Care Club members. The ceramic coatings in our packages last two years with the same routine; a long-life coating of up to eight years is available for about €500–600 more.
Years from now, premium film comes off cleanly under heat, usually in one to two days, and leaves the factory paint intact underneath.
