Self-healing activates at temperatures the Algarve reaches comfortably on most days, including outside peak summer. The optical clarity on the gloss film is high; the distortion that sometimes affects cheaper films is absent in properly applied STEK material.

Published figures of nine or ten years typically refer to the material warranty — not the workmanship warranty — and are conditional on 3-monthly professional maintenance from a certified installer. Workmanship coverage, its duration, and what it covers (edges lifting, bubbling from installation error) is separate and varies by installer. This applies across the industry, not to one brand. Ask any installer, before committing, exactly what their workmanship warranty covers, for how long, and what maintenance conditions it requires.
