JustCars processes customer and website data to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, manage bookings, identify returning customers across the JustCars ecosystem and protect the website.

Data We Collect
- Contact details you send: name, phone/WhatsApp number, email, vehicle, service interest, photos and preferred time.
- Sofia/site chat messages and booking or quote requests.
- Website security and analytics data described in the Cookie Policy.
- Operational records needed to handle appointments, complaints, invoices or service follow-up.
Legal Bases
- Requests, quotes and bookings: processing is necessary to answer your request, prepare a quote, manage an appointment or take steps before a service contract.
- Customer history and identification across JustCars projects/sites: based on your explicit consent in the chat or booking form and/or legitimate operational interest where permitted.
- Security logs and anti-abuse: legitimate interest in protecting the website, clients and business systems.
- Accounting, tax and legal records: legal obligations and legal claims where applicable.
- Promotional messages: only where you opt in separately, or where another lawful soft opt-in rule applies and you can object easily.
How We Use Data
We use data to respond to enquiries, prepare inspections/quotes, confirm appointments, identify returning customers by phone number/name, improve Sofia and the website, prevent abuse, maintain records and comply with legal obligations.
JustCars Ecosystem
JustCars may operate multiple related websites, projects, applications, landing pages and service brands. If you consent in chat or a form, your name, phone number, vehicle, service history, email and communication preferences may be shared inside this ecosystem so that we recognise you as the same client, avoid duplicate questions, route your request correctly and provide relevant service follow-up.
We do not use this ecosystem permission as permission for promotional campaigns unless you also choose the marketing option.
Marketing Choice
You can choose whether to receive occasional WhatsApp/email messages about offers, campaigns and services. If you do not opt in, or if you object/withdraw later, Sofia and our systems must not send promotional messages to you. Service/booking messages, appointment confirmations and replies to your own request may still be sent when needed to handle your enquiry or service.
Sharing and Subprocessors
We do not sell customer data. We use a limited set of vetted providers ("subprocessors") strictly to operate the website and deliver the requested service:
- Hosting & infrastructure: Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, EU) — website server and encrypted backups.
- CDN, DNS & edge security (WAF/DDoS): Gcore (EU) — delivers and protects justcars.pt.
- Calendar & booking records: Google (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) — appointment scheduling.
- Email: Google (Gmail) — enquiry and lead email.
- Messaging: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (WhatsApp) — chat when you contact us on WhatsApp.
- AI assistant ("Sofia"): Anthropic PBC (USA) — processes chat message content to draft replies.
- Customer records / CRM: self-hosted by JustCars on the Hetzner server; not shared with a third-party CRM.
- Trusted automotive specialists where a specific service (e.g. paint or glass) requires them.
International transfers: some providers (e.g. Anthropic, and certain Google services) may process data outside the EU/EEA, in particular in the United States. Where this happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or an adequacy decision.
Retention
Lead, chat, booking and customer identification records are normally kept for up to 2 years from the last meaningful interaction. If there is no new interaction within that period, we delete the record or ask you to confirm again when you next contact us. Records needed for invoices, accounting, tax, disputes, warranty, complaints, security incidents or legal claims may be kept for longer where required or permitted by law.
Your Rights
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent and objection to direct marketing where applicable. Contact [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the competent data protection authority, including the Portuguese CNPD where applicable.
Automated Assistance
JustCars may use automated assistance to answer questions, collect details and route requests. This assistance does not make legally binding decisions about prices, warranties, acceptance of work or complaints. The JustCars team confirms final availability, scope, price and service decisions.
