The industry offers two classic answers to tired paint: polish it (removes material, has limits) or respray it (replaces the factory finish, costs real money and originality). RestorFX is the third path — a chemical restoration that rebuilds the surface rather than cutting it back. For oxidised, dull, micro-scratched paint it routinely produces a result a polisher cannot reach, while the factory paint stays underneath. That is why we invested in becoming the official RestorFX centre for the region, in our Loulé workshop.
The discipline is in the process: the work takes one to two days on average — up to a week on hard cases, depending on the car, the colour and the state of the surface — and during curing the car stays indoors, no exceptions. A shop that hands a RestorFX'd car back to sleep outside the same night is skipping the step that makes the chemistry work.
And the honest boundaries: RestorFX does not fill deep scratches through the colour coat, and it will not fix corrosion — those are paint work. When one panel genuinely justifies treatment, we do one panel; when it doesn't, we say so. The point of being a certified centre is knowing where the product ends.
