Car Painting in the Algarve

Car painting in the Algarve is done at the JustCars body workshop in Loulé: colour matched on your actual car rather than on a paint code, two or three panels typically finished in four to five days, and a full exterior respray on an honest queue of two to three weeks before work starts. The quote is fixed after inspection — free, and without obligation.

Algarve sun makes colour matching harder — and more important

Twenty years of southern sun shifts every factory colour, which is why a code sprayed straight from the tin rarely matches an Algarve car. We mix and adjust against your actual paint, blend into neighbouring panels where the eye would otherwise catch the transition, and judge the result in daylight as well as booth light. Metallics, pearls and tri-coat finishes get the extra stages they genuinely need — the goal is that nobody can find the repaired panel.

“I say the queue number out loud before anyone commits — two to three weeks for a full respray isn't what I enjoy telling a client, but it beats a promise I can't keep. And if the lacquer's only tired, not dead, I'd rather restore it chemically than spray over it.”

The honest queue, region-wide

Full exterior resprays carry the longest waiting list in the house — usually two to three weeks before the car goes in, and we say so before you commit. Partial work moves far faster: two or three panels typically run four to five days from drop-off to handover. Cars come to us from across the region — Faro to Albufeira — and free pickup within 15 km of the studios covers Loulé, Almancil, Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, Vilamoura and Quarteira.

Sometimes the honest answer isn't paint

Oxidised, chalky, sun-tired lacquer often doesn't need a respray at all: machine polishing revives more finishes than most owners expect, and JustCars Loulé is the official RestorFX centre — chemical restoration of tired clear coat at a fraction of respray money. We measure the paint first and recommend the cheaper route whenever it's the right one. And if you plan PPF over fresh paint, the paint needs a minimum of three weeks to cure first — we schedule both stages so the protection doesn't trap solvents.

Straight answers

How much does car painting cost in the Algarve?

It depends entirely on panels, damage and finish — so we quote after a free inspection, and the quote is then fixed. What we publish upfront is the honest timing: 2–3 panels in 4–5 days, full resprays queued 2–3 weeks.

How long does a full respray take?

The queue is the long part — usually two to three weeks before a full exterior starts, because it's the most demanded work in the house. Smaller jobs of two or three panels run four to five days.

Can you match a colour faded by the sun?

That's most of the job here. We match on your actual car, not the paint code, and blend into adjacent panels where the transition would show. The result is checked in daylight, not just under booth light.

Can PPF go straight onto new paint?

No — fresh paint needs at least three weeks to cure before film goes on, otherwise the film traps solvents and lifts. We coordinate the paint and the protection together, so the schedule takes care of itself.
