Preparation moves each of those in your favour before the listing goes up, and the arithmetic tends to work: honest preparation typically defends more than it costs in the negotiation, because a presented car gives the buyer fewer reasons to argue the price down.

The preparation from €450 is the wash side at full depth plus the selling touches: exterior washed with the late-contact method, polish where the paint asks for it, interior reset, headlights revived, wheels detailed, and the car photographed ready for the listing. Cars coming out of hard use start with the €300 eight-hour deep clean; where the paint deserves more, a one-step gloss enhancement from €300 — or full correction — is weighed honestly against what it actually returns on your car and asking price.

The other half of our sale work is done for buyers: the pre-purchase inspection, where electronics, mechanics and paint depth are read before money moves. Selling a prepared car into that world is an advantage — a genuinely sorted car has nothing to fear from a depth gauge, and a seller who presents one signals exactly that.

Usually yes — presentation defends the asking price on a modest car as surely as on an expensive one. The honest exception is a car headed for trade-in at a fixed dealer price, where we'll tell you to save the money. Ask us with photos; the advice costs nothing.
