Where do you get a car battery tested and replaced in the Algarve? A slow morning crank doesn't automatically mean a dead battery — it can be a tired alternator, a parasitic drain or simply a car that stood too long. Our routine starts with a proper battery health test and, where the numbers ask for it, a check of the charging system on diagnostic equipment. If the battery is healthy, we tell you so and you keep your money; if it's done, you get the honest verdict with the readings to show for it.
Modern cars are fussy: the replacement has to match the specification the car was engineered around, and many German cars — BMW, Mercedes and others — expect the new battery to be registered so the car manages charging correctly and doesn't quietly shorten the new battery's life. We fit the correct battery for your exact car and handle the registration and coding on request, as part of the same visit.
Cars here stand: airport weeks, winter months, second cars at the villa. A flat battery in a garage in Quinta do Lago or at the Vilamoura marina doesn't require you to organise jump leads — free pickup within 15 km of the studios covers Loulé, Almancil and the resorts, and the car comes back started, tested and sorted. On electric cars we service the 12-volt side only — the drive unit and high-voltage electronics are never touched, as a firm safety rule.
